so i have skype on my ipod touch but i want it on my laptop so i can video chat with friends, i just put it on my aunt’s laptop and now that i use her computer it seems like there’s lots of viruses. if i download it on to my laptop with i get those? or is it not from skype, it’s just from something else? -thanks, chloe(:

Most likely its from somthing else and if u get a virus download malware bytes on both computers it will run a scan and delete all virus trust me its not from skype

Can anyone help me with my Skype download problems?
Everytime I try to download skype, it will download the installer up to 99%, then it will just stop and time out. I can’t even get to actually downloading the program. Can anyone tell me what I need to do to rectify this situation? Do I need to shut off my antivirus programs, clear my cookies? What do I need to do so I can download this?

If it is asking you to turn off programs that are blocking the download then do it. Otherwise, you will have to contact them about this problem.

You can download it from the website http://www.skype.com , and it’s free…. They only start charging if you start using certain features ie: Create a phone line…( but on the original registration, u don’t need give any CC info etc…). Skype is a great tool for video confrecning with friends and family overseas!!!

How do I make sure that the video quality on skype will be okay before I download the software?
I want to download skype to video chat with my friends, however I’m worried about the video quality, because I have satellite internet.
